2025 PENINSULAR CHALLENGE ( Cornwall v Devon) 5K race
Torbay Velopark - Saturday 14th June
to be held as part of the ‘City Runs’ 5k Road Race, which is an open race. Fast, flat, lapped course.

This is a chance to run a fast 5k AND be selected for your County!

Races start from 2pm (all County runners will race in the A race)

Scoring (based on time)
Senior Male & Female - 4 to run / 3 to score
Vets (Over 40's) Male & Female - 4 to run / 3 to score

Note:- Vets can run in the Senior Team, but not vice versa. Senior runners must be U17 upwards.

Selection
Cornwall County teams will be selected after the DAN / County Championship 5,000m race* at Par on 21st May. The 5,000m DAN/County Champs results will be considered during selection, along with other recent races of similar distances. (NOTE: It is not compulsory to do the DAN race, in order to be selected, as it is on a weekday evening and some may not be able to take part due to work etc, but it will indicate fitness and form for that distance.)

All athletes who wish to be considered for the teams must fill out an expression of interest form (see below) by 24th May at the latest. Team selection will be advised asap after 24th May.

Those selected for the county team will be given a DISCOUNTED entry code (£10). If you enter before you have been selected, you will be paying full price!

County vest must be worn for the Peninsular Challenge and can be purchased for £20.00, or borrowed with a £20 deposit (which will be returned when the vest is)

County runners will be responsible for their own travel etc.
