Good News as CAC Restricted Training Set to Return From 7 July

Some exciting and welcome news for all our athletes!

We are delighted that a range of CAC training sessions will be able to recommence on Tuesday 7 July, at Carn Brea Leisure Centre track, albeit it on restricted terms initally. Please read the following fully.

In order to comply with Government and governing body guidelines regarding Covid 19, TRAINING SESSIONS will take place with a maximum of 5 athletes per coach- as it is essential to observe the social distancing rules.

Sessions will be held as follows:-

Tuesdays – 6.00pm-8.00pm Track and Field. [NO Senior Endurance athletes]
The usual Track and Field sessions will be available with your coach. Advice on how to book your place will be advised soon.

Wednesdays – 7.00pm-8.00pm Senior Endurance only. [CAC 1st & 2nd claim athletes only] Prebooking is essential and must be booked here. Read ALL the instructions on the booking site Individual warm up to begin from 6.45pm, with general warm up at 7.00pm

Thursdays – 6.00pm-7.00pm
The usual Track and Field sessions will be available with your coach. Advice on how to book your place will be advised soon.

Sadly, NO SATURDAY CLUB OR UNDER 11 TRAINING is possible for the time being – the starting date will be announced in the future.

At all other times, small group sessions with a coach or individual sessions must be booked through the Leisure Centre Reception, as the Track and Field areas may be in use for Leisure Centre classes

GENERAL RULES FOR Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

1. Access and leave the Track through the SIDE GATE

2. A member of the Leisure Centre staff will be on duty to control access to the building using the bottom door for:

(a) Toilets. The Leisure Centre requests use for emergencies only please, to avoid congestion due to cleaning.

(b) Sign in with your Car Registration number.  At present it is best to assume the parking will be ‘live’. The machine is located along the bottom corridor next to the swimming pool entrance.  There will also be a ‘Sanitising Station’ there.

3. The clubhouse will not be available for leaving kit bags and clothing.  We hope that a couple of Gazebos will be available for kit and clothing, especially in wet weather.

4. Training Fees - CAC First and Second Claim Members. The group coach will collect the Training Fee (£3.00) and take names for the group register. THE CORRECT MONEY IN £1 COINS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

It is essential to observe the Social Distancing Rules and strict hygiene. Please help everyone to stay safe and well by observing the signs and rules at all times.
